At the heart of FarmYield Africa’s mission to empower farmers is the careful coordination of agricultural inputs, a task led by Felicia Anabire, the organization’s Farmer Support Manager. Her work ensures that farmers receive the right seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals at the right time, boosting productivity and supporting livelihoods across the region.

“My role involves coordinating the entire process of input planning, mobilization, and distribution,” Anabire explained. “I also lead sensitization efforts to engage farmers, understand their specific needs, and ensure inputs are used effectively. This not only improves yields but also enhances efficiency and resilience for farming households.”
Ensuring timely access to inputs comes with its own set of challenges. Late confirmation of farmers’ needs and market fluctuations can disrupt distribution, while engaging farmers in best practices requires ongoing communication and trust-building. Anabire addresses these hurdles by maintaining continuous engagement, accurately capturing input needs ahead of the season, and providing guidance on effective usage.

Building strong relationships with farmers is central to her approach. Through transparent communication, listening to farmers’ concerns, and consistent follow-ups, Anabire fosters trust and encourages long-term participation in FarmYield programs.
Her efforts have already made a measurable difference. Anabire recalls working with a group of farmers who had previously struggled with low yields due to delayed access to inputs. Through careful planning and support on proper input use, these farmers achieved significantly improved harvests, increasing their income and confidence in agricultural programs.
Anabire’s motivation is rooted in the tangible impact of her work. “Seeing the improvements in farmers’ lives, better yields, and enhanced livelihoods drives me every day,” she said. FarmYield Africa is a farmer-focused organization dedicated to increasing productivity, improving incomes, and strengthening resilience for rural communities across Ghana. Through initiatives that provide access to quality seeds, fertilizers, and training, the organization supports farmers, particularly women and youth, in building sustainable agricultural practices.
In 2026, FarmYield Africa aims to reach 3,500 farmers across the Upper East Region, expanding its programs to ensure more farmers have the resources, knowledge, and support needed to thrive.
